Text Message Opt-In
Last updated: June 2, 2026
MacDangDang family members can opt in to receive text messages — login verification codes and, optionally, notifications about activity in their private family space. This page shows exactly how members give consent and the disclosure they see when they do.
Where members opt in
Opt-in happens inside the member’s account, under Profile → Notifications → Text messages. A member enters their mobile number and affirmatively checks an unchecked-by-default consent box. No one is enrolled without taking this action — consent is never required to use MacDangDang.
