MacDangDang is a private, invite-only platform for a single family to share photos, videos, memories, events, and messages. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as possible and never sell your data.

Who we are

Information we collect

• Account info — your name, email, and (optionally) mobile number and profile details you add.
• Content you share — photos, videos, posts, comments, reactions, events, and messages within your family space.
• Photo metadata — when available, capture time and location embedded in photos, which you control the precision of (exact, nearby, town, or hidden).
• Usage & device data — basic technical information needed to operate the service securely.

How we use it

• To run your private family space — show your feed, deliver invites, send notifications you opt into.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
• We do not sell your information or use your family’s content to train advertising or third-party AI systems.

Who we share with

Only the service providers needed to operate MacDangDang, strictly to deliver the features you use:

• Supabase — secure database, authentication, and media storage.
• Mux — video processing and private, signed playback.
• Resend — transactional email (invites, notifications you opt into).
• Twilio — SMS delivery, only if you opt into text messages (see below).

We share with these providers only what’s necessary, and as required by law. We do not sell personal information.

SMS / Text Messaging

When you provide your mobile number, we use it to send (i) account and service messages such as login verification codes, and (ii) if you opt in, notifications about activity in your family space. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time; reply HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. We share your mobile number only with our messaging provider (Twilio) strictly to deliver the messages you requested, and as required by law. We do not sell your mobile number or SMS consent.

You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP or by contacting help@macdangdang.com. We retain SMS consent records as required to operate the program and demonstrate compliance. See our SMS Terms for full program details.

Children

MacDangDang is a private family space that may include content about children, shared by family members within the closed family circle. We do not make any content public, and we do not direct marketing to anyone. Parents/guardians control what is shared and can request removal at any time.

Your choices

• Opt out of SMS any time (reply STOP) and email notifications in your settings.
• Request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing help@macdangdang.com.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new date.
